Living in the hope of Pentecost

Join ReSource in partnership with Lee Abbey in 2027 for a week long retreat on the theme of the Hope of Pentecost.

The pressures of life and of serving in the church can squeeze joy out of us.

Pentecost was undeniably extraordinary – but how do we connect, and re-connect, with this part of the Biblical story today? Drawing on the book of Acts, Christopher will consider how the hope and joy of Pentecost meets the reality of daily life, including our personal failings and frustrations (and those of our churches). We will consider what it means to be empowered afresh by the Holy Spirit; why prayer with laying on of hands is such a key theme in Acts; and why the book’s honesty about disciples who hadn’t heard of the Holy Spirit offers us an unlikely encouragement. Full children's programme available. Please register at time of booking.
