The Fruit of the Spirit and Parish Renewal - Cuddesdon

Join ReSource in partnership with Cuddesdon in April 2027.

The pressures of life and of serving in the church can squeeze joy out of us.

What role does Christian character play in the flourishing of clergy and the parishes they serve? How can local churches become communities that cultivate the Fruit of the Spirit?

And how does this task of spiritual formation relate to parish renewal?

Join ReSource Director and Cuddesdon alumnus Revd Dr Christopher Landau, (and Hon. Professor of Practice in Christian Spirituality at Emmanuel Theological College) alongside Cuddesdon associate tutor Revd Dr Joanna Collicutt. Joanna is author of So Longeth My Soul: A Reader in Christian Spirituality. for this retreat, seeking to relate the Fruit of the Spirit to everyday parish life. Considering questions of formation, the reality of disagreement and the task of renewal, particularly in ‘little, local, ordinary’ churches, the retreat will include a variety of approaches to prayer, and opportunities for group discussion or personal silent reflection.

Cost: £220, to include the programme, accommodation and meals.
