Revd Graham Hunter

Revd Graham Hunter has served as Vicar of St John’s Hoxton since 2010. Located in the heart of East London, St John’s is a diverse Anglican church with a long history of evangelical ministry, community engagement, and service to the local neighbourhood. Under Graham’s leadership, the church has grown in its commitment to worship, discipleship, social action, and church planting, while developing strong partnerships across the civic, educational, and voluntary sectors. Graham hold both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Theology, and prior to his role at St John’s Hoxton, Graham held various lay and ordained role in full-time Christian ministry since 2002.

Alongside his parish ministry, Graham is actively involved in several charitable and educational organisations. He serves as a Trustee and Director of the London Diocesan Fund, contributing to the governance and strategic oversight of the Diocese of London through the Bishop’s Council. He is also a member of the Court of Assistants of the The Haberdashers' Company, one of the Great Twelve Livery Companies of the City of London, where he serves on the Charities Committee, helping to guide the Company’s philanthropic work supporting schools, churches, and community organisations.

Graham has served as Trustee of several Christian charities focusing on youth work and social transformation over the past 25 years, including the Westbourne Park Family Centre, the Hackney Foodbank, and Street Level. He serves as a school governor within the local community. He has written and spoken widely on mission, leadership, worship, housing, and the role of faith in public life. He is also co-author of the contemporary hymn We Seek Your Kingdom, written as a prayer for Christian witness and service in modern society.
